Air Conditioners for Electrical Cabinets
IP Enclosures offers a high-performance range of enclosure air conditioners specifically engineered to manage internal temperatures in electrical cabinets and data racks. Designed for reliability and energy efficiency, these units are available in IP54 for indoor use and IP55 for outdoor use, delivering effective protection against dust and water ingress. Air conditioning is essential when enclosure temperatures must remain below ambient conditions or when internal heat loads exceed natural dissipation capabilities.
Each unit uses a dual-air-circuit design to isolate internal airflow from the outside environment. Heated air inside the enclosure is circulated through the air conditioning unit, cooled, and returned, while a separate external air circuit exchanges ambient air without contaminating the internal space. This separation ensures that moisture, dust, and airborne contaminants are kept out, preserving the integrity of the enclosure contents. The evaporator fan runs continuously to ensure consistent air distribution and eliminate hotspots. A digital thermostat is factory set at 35 °C but can be adjusted between 20 °C and 45 °C to meet specific requirements. The refrigeration cycle automatically starts or stops depending on internal temperature conditions. Optional accessories include flow diverters to avoid direct airflow on active components and filters to protect internal air conditioner components from dust and dirt. All units are approved for use in Australia and manufactured in Italy to meet strict quality standards. IP Enclosures’ air conditioners support the shift toward lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants, aligning with environmental sustainability goals.
IP Enclosures’ air conditioners range from 350 W to 6 kW in cooling capacity. They are available in wall and roof mounted configurations, with selected models including high-level features such as alarm relays, door interlocks, RS485 communications, and integrated condensate management. Installation maintains the original IP rating of the enclosure, supporting safe, long-term performance for industrial and data-critical applications.
