IECEx & ATEX Electrical Enclosures
IP Enclosures’ IECEx and ATEX stainless steel electrical enclosures are designed for housing electrical, electronic, control and instrumentation equipment in hazardous and potentially explosive environments. Manufactured in Italy from high-quality 316L stainless steel, the range provides a robust and corrosion-resistant enclosure solution for demanding applications including oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical processing and other hazardous industrial environments.
The range is certified as an Ex Component with protection methods Ex eb IIC Gb for gas atmospheres and Ex tb IIIC Db for combustible dust atmospheres. This provides a certified enclosure platform for equipment intended for hazardous-area applications associated with Zones 1 and 2 for gas and Zones 21 and 22 for dust, subject to the certification and design requirements of the completed electrical equipment.
Constructed from 316L stainless steel, the enclosures feature a robust welded body, solid hinged door, stainless steel locking system and internal galvanised steel device mounting plate. IECEx/ATEX configurations provide IP66 ingress protection and IK10 impact resistance.
The range is available in multiple enclosure sizes for control equipment, instrumentation, terminals, power supplies and other electrical components used within hazardous-area systems.

Construction:
The enclosure incorporates a robust stainless steel body with a solid hinged door, providing substantially greater usable internal space than a terminal box. The hinged construction provides convenient access to installed electrical and control equipment for installation, inspection and maintenance.
Internal Device Mounting Plate:
The enclosure is supplied with a 2.5 mm galvanised steel internal device mounting plate.
